This month's spotlight: Mid-Shore Pro Bono

Everyone needs legal help at one time or another. Mid-Shore Pro Bono offers free legal assistance to income-qualified individuals in civil legal matters. Call 410-690-8128 for more information, applications and for appointments.

Examples of legal issues Mid-Shore Pro Bono can assist with include family law, bankruptcy and debt, small claims, advanced medical directives, wills or probate, landlord-tenant disputes, divorce, and guardianship. Mid-Shore Pro Bono does not handle criminal cases, traffic cases or appeals.

Mid-Shore Pro Bono provides a Lawyer Referral Service for qualified, income eligible persons in civil cases. Low-income individuals should call 410-690-8128 for intake screening Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 4:00pm.

The Family Law Pro-Se (represent yourself) Clinic is held every Monday 9:00am - 12:00 noon at the Caroline County Circuit Courthouse. A lawyer will be available for free consultation, legal advice and assistance on how to represent yourself and complete forms for issues related to family law.
