Services Provided: This 400-acre preserve is located on the Tuckahoe Creek and includes portions of the region's most significant wetlands. Offers four miles of walks, education programs, art exhibits, lectures, workshops, garden tours, and native plant sales. Public amenities include a visitor's center with gift shop, library, and meeting room. Many volunteer opportunities available. Visitor's center open daily 10a.m.-4p.m., except major holidays. Guided Nature Walks - Saturdays, 11 a.m. (April - November)

American Legion Post #29

Services Provided: A Veterans organization that donates money to legal organizations and charities that send requests. To be considered for a donation, send a letter to the post and a committee will review it and make a decision. The Legion also runs scholarship programs and sponsors a yearly oratorical contest for high school seniors. Regular events: Bingo every Tuesday at 7:30 PM. Post hall available for rent for events or as a meeting room. Accommodates up to 250 people. Special features: podium, p/a system. Food must be prepared on premises by Ladies Auxiliary. Alcoholic beverages must be purchased through American Legion. Ample parking in front of building. Handicapped-accessible. Call Rebecca Dunn at 410-364-5057 for room rates and to reserve the hall.

Best Western Inn

Services Provided: The hotel has a meeting room that accommodates 15-20 people. It is available after 1 PM. The room has a TV. The hotel offers wireless internet access.

Burrsville Ruritan Club Inc.

Services Provided: Assists local students with scholarship money, and takes part in many charitable events. Assists persons that are in emergency situations. Gives annual monetary donations to 4 local fire departments. Sponsors a yearly oyster dinner fundraiser the 4th Saturday in October. Provides concession foods for public auctions as a fund raiser activity. The meeting room seats 100 guests and is available for rent by calling 410-482-6131 or 410-482-8463.

Caroline County Public Library, Central Branch

Services Provided: Offers wireless internet access for free. Accepts boxed or bagged books, in good condition, as donations. Books are placed on sale rack, added to the collection, or sent to Better World Books to be sold on the library's behalf. The library CANNOT accept the following items: items in poor condition, textbooks more than 10 years old, encyclopedias, magazines and journals, condensed Reader's Digest books, travel books more than 5 years old, and open software sets. Offers free meeting room space to qualifying community groups.

Caroline County Public Library, Federalsburg Branch

Chesapeake Camp & Conference Center

Services Provided: Our conference center can accommodate groups up to 700 people and can be used as a meeting room or to host a large event. Catering is also available or you may choose your own caterer. Wireless internet is complimentary. We have ample parking and are conveniently located on Camp Road in Denton. Call for pricing and availability.

Chestnut Grove Community Association

Services Provided: Public meeting room available. Seats 40. Ample parking around building. Restrictions: no alcoholic beverages. Kitchen area with refrigerator and stove.

Choptank Electric Cooperative, Inc.

Services Provided: Electric service provided to residential, agricultural, commercial and industrial consumers. Speakers' bureau, electrical safety education, and energy conservation information programs available. Meeting room can be reserved for non-profit organizations in the District Office on Meeting House Rd. in the evenings. It holds 100 people and features a podium, microphone, TV, VCR, screen and small kitchen.

Christ Episcopal Church

Services Provided: Traditional Episcopal services held in an historic gothic-style church on the Choptank River. Holy Eucharist Rite One at 8:00 AM and Holy Eucharist Rite Two with choir at 9:30 AM every Sunday. Nursery care is provided for the 9:30 service. Sunday School begins at 9:20 AM September through June. Coffee social hour following each service. Keen Parish Hall with kitchen is available for public rental as a meeting room or for receptions. Tables and chairs available, seats 65. Street parking and after-hours Courthouse parking. Limited handicapped-accessible.

Christ United Methodist Fellowship Hall

Services Provided: Fellowship hall, located at 201 S. Main Street in Federalsburg, is available for public use for a meeting room or reception event. Seats 100. Special features: air conditioning, piano, podium, kitchen facility (with approval). Ample parking in back of building and on street. Basement entrance with several steps. Elevator for handicapped. Request regulation sheet upon booking. Catering provided through the United Methodist Women.

Denton Volunteer Fire Company

Services Provided: Non-profit, all-volunteer organization providing fire, rescue, EMS, haz-mat, search and rescue, and extrication services. Also rents fire hall to the public. Meeting room/fire hall seats 400. Special features: air conditioning, movie screen, p/a system, small kitchen (with approval). Ample parking in back of building and across street. Available during the day and evening hours excluding Friday evenings and the fourth Thursday of each month. Handicapped parking and access. No catering available. Federalsburg Community Building

Services Provided: Meeting room available for rent. The capacity is 125 people, and the cost is $150.

Goldsboro Volunteer Fire Company

Services Provided: Volunteer fire and emergency services. On average, the Goldsboro Fire Department responds to over 2,700 fire and/or service calls and 5,000 rescue calls per year. They are staffed 7 days/week, 365 per year. They offer fire education programs and a fire prevention store, located at the Berkeley Mall during the month of October. Meeting room/Fire hall available for public use. Seats 700 for a lecture, 400 for a banquet. Handicapped-accessible.
