Services Provided: Meetings are the second Monday of every month at noon at the Denton Church of the Nazarene, 10660 Greensboro Rd., Denton. There are no meetings in July & August. Guest speakers and entertainment are often a part of the monthly meetings. Members donate their time, money, and canned goods to local non-profit organizations in the area. The group also sponsors a yearly free tax assistance service at each of the library branches. The tour committee sponsors trips that are open to the public.

Services Provided: Promotes the study and enjoyment of birds, knowledge about our natural resources and fosters its appreciation and conservation. Maintains a system of sanctuaries to encourage the conservation of birds and their habitats. Helps to record and publish observations of bird life. Volunteers accepted to help clean Pelot Sanctuary, go into schools and teach children about nature, and to lead bird walks. Services Provided: Holds a variety of fundraisers, including a fall bazaar, a spring fashion show, and Christmas house tour. Uses money to sponsor a variety of community projects. Gives away trees on Arbor Day. Gives two scholarships a year to Colonel Richardson High School graduating seniors. Donates money to Preston Elementary School and Colonel Richardson Middle School. Meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 114 Williamson Street in Preston.

Services Provided: Holds several club functions a year, presenting speakers on topics of political interest; staffs Democratic booths at local events, promoting voting and voter registration; works with the Caroline County Democratic Central Committee. Full club meets between 3 and 6 times a year. Democratic Headquarters for the upcoming 2008 election is at 217 Market Street in Denton. Hours are Wed. 3-6 PM, Fri. 3-7 PM and Sat. 12-4 PM.

Services Provided: Membership in the ESMTA provides regular association with colleagues and participation in local, state, and national events of mutual interest. Other benefits include: conventions, student performance festivals and competitive events, composition competitions, workshops, master classes, and theory and keyboard musicianship reviews. The Association also offers the High School Recognition/Credit Program for private piano music study in the 9th through the 12th grades. Awards and honors are presented at all levels for students, and grants are available to teachers throughout the year. ESMTA members also give piano and other instrument lessons for a fee. Contact Raymond Hobbs for a referral. Association members can be scheduled for free classical presentations, featuring either soloists or an ensemble.

Services Provided: Group open to all those interested in the craft of writing, both professional and novice. Meets the second Saturday of every month (except July and August) at various locations around the Delmarva Peninsula (a notice is run in the newspaper regarding meeting location; website is www.easternshorewriters.org for additional information). Meetings feature guest speakers on a variety of topics and an annual public reading by members. Membership includes a monthly newsletter and the opportunity to have work critiqued by fellow members. Critiques are done through the mail.

Services Provided: Club Call : K3EMD: We meet at 7 PM on the third Tuesday of each month at the Talbot County 911 Center at 605 Port Street in Easton. The Club provides a forum for amateur radio operators to share their knowledge and understanding of radio operations, to train future operators, to foster good will through community service and emergency communications, and to develop a fellowship for people with similar interests. As in most amateur radio clubs our members range from novice to extra and from youth to geezer! The members interests run throughout the spectrum in most every mode including DX, R.A.C.E.S., Satellite, EME, HF, VHF, UHF and Marine Mobile. We provide amateur radio communication service for the Triathlons that are held in the Cambridge, MD area.

Services Provided: Undertakes a variety of gardening and landscaping projects throughout the county. Some previous, yearly, and ongoing projects include: creating Christmas wreaths and participating in the lighting of the Courthouse Green in Denton, flowers for Civil War reenactment, and landscaping the log cabin in Greensboro, the Museum of Rural Life, and the Courthouse Green. The club is available for consultation on a variety of gardening issues. Holds monthly meeting every 2nd Friday, September through May. Most meetings are held at Caroline County Public Library. If schools are closed that day due to inclement weather, then the meeting is cancelled.

Services Provided: Meetings are held the 1st Thurs. of every month at Choptank Electric in Denton. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the meeting begins at 7 PM. Quilting bees are held the 1st Tuesday of every month at 7 PM at Choptank Electric. Every year the group picks on service project to work on for the community.

At these meetings, mothers share their questions and concerns, the benefits and joys of mothering, and tips and techniques for successful breastfeeding.
