SOAR is a national program designed to increase access to Social Security Insurance (SSI)/ Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) for adults who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and have a mental illness, medical impairment, and/or a co-occurring substance use disorder. Local agencies that have SOAR trained staff include Alliance, Chesapeake Voyagers, Crossroads Community, Community Behavioral Health, Mid Shore Behavioral Health, the Neighborhood Service Center, St. James Zion Church.
