Service

Our trained staff, who themselves have cared for a young person with mental health, substance use and/or other behavioral health needs, will work one-to-one with you – listening to your concerns, attending meetings, assisting you to complete forms, explaining your rights and connecting you to appropriate services. Family Peer Support Specialists (FPSS) also work in partnership with local agencies and participate on planning and advisory boards to provide a family perspective on policies and programs. Family Peer Support Specialists make every effort to involve many families in leadership roles in their community.

Eligibility

Anyone who needs assistance with obtaining services or support for their family can call a Family Peer Support Specialist. Services are provided free to Maryland families.
