Caroline County Public Schools is a system consisting of approximately 5,500 students; more than 380 professional staff members, and ten schools. Instructional programs in all subject areas are offered. A comprehensive academic and vocational program includes classes for students of all ability levels. A free Pre-Kindergarten program is available at all 5 elementary schools for qualifying preschoolers. Teachers are part of a continuous curriculum improvement program, and may participate in a number of staff development and inservice programs.
Offers an early learning preschool enrichment program for 3 & 4 year olds. Call for information on openings or to put your name on a waiting list. The hours for the 3 year old class are Tues. & Thurs. 9:15-11:30 AM. Hours for the 4 year old class are Mon., Wed., and Fri. 9:15-11:30 AM. Slots are given on a first come, first serve basis. Classes run from September to May. Daycare services are available from 6:30 AM-5:30 PM for ages 2 through 5th grade.
Offers a preschool program for 2, 3, & 4 year olds already enrolled in the center for daycare. The program includes a planned curriculum, hands on activities, social development, and community involvement.
Kids enrolled in Caroline County Imagination Library receive a FREE book every month delivered right to their homes. Every child receives carefully selected books that are appropriate for their age. The Dolly Parton Foundation does an excellent job of choosing high quality books by outstanding authors. New books are selected each year, so if your family has multiple children participating in the program, you shouldn't receive any duplicated books. Children of the same age all receive the same books each month. That means that when they arrive in Kindergarten, they will all have a shared experience of reading the same books.
Sunday School 9:15 AM, Morning Worship 10:30 AM. Offers preschool program to 2, 3 & 4 year olds. Class is held on Mon. through Thurs. from 9 AM - 11:45 AM. Program is Christian based and helps children socialize with other children, as well as teaches colors, letters, numbers, shapes, etc. Early enrollment is encouraged. Classes run from September to May.
MRDC Head Start offers comprehensive services to low income families including early childhood education, nutrition, health and social services, and encourages strong parental involvement. HUD certified staff provides counseling and assistance in landlord/tenant relations and eviction prevention, foreclosure prevention, and loss mitigation. First-time homebuyer counseling is available to low income households seeking to improve their housing conditions. The Circuit Rider Program helps small communities receive direct and technical assistance in personnel administration, grant preparation, & administration and overall administrative oversight.

Oversees day care licensing for family day care homes and child care centers, provides letters of compliance for nursery schools, offers trainings and workshops to providers, investigates complaints, and recruits new homes and centers.
Offers a preschool program to 3 & 4 year olds during the school year. Classes are Mon., Tues., and Thurs. from 9:30 AM-12 PM. Cost is $115/month. The program is Christian based and non-denominational, with a focus on socialization.
Offers preschool to children ages 3-4. Union United Methodist Church is the proud home of Union Preschool. Youth Ministry is extremely important to the Union UMC family and as such present many opportunities throughout the year for child and family involvement.
