His Hope Haven accepts single men and women, as well as family groups, as guests. The shelter opens at 5:30 PM and guests are provided with dinner, breakfast the next morning, and a packed lunch. Shower facilities are available. Guests leave at 9 AM each morning. Guests without transportation are driven into Denton, and picked up there later. The drop off and pickup area is in the parking lot of the court house across from the Episcopal Church on Gay Street.
Provides counseling for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault, suicide prevention, support groups, emergency shelter, shelter referral, medical care, and assistance with the process of prosecution.
Provides a variety of services to victims of domestic abuse. These include a 24 hour hotline, crisis intervention at hospitals and police stations, counseling and support, a shelter, assistance with legal proceedings, information and referrals, outreach and assistance for Spanish speaking victims, transitional assistance, intervention and prevention to community, and prevention education in the schools. Speakers are available for community education and training. There is an Abuser Intervention Program. Volunteers accepted. Cell phone donations are accepted.
Continuum of Care Housing Programs are HUD funded rental subsidies for literally homeless person(s)/families with behavioral health disabilities.
