Traditional Episcopal worship service held in an historic gothic-style church on the Choptank River. Holy Eucharist Rite Two at 9:30 AM every Sunday. Adult Bible study at 8:15 AM Sunday. Coffee Hour following the service -- join us for fellowship and good things to eat. Parish Hall with kitchen may be rented for meetings/receptions. Tables and chairs available, seats 60. Street parking and after-hours parking at Courthouse lots. Very limited handicapped-accessible. Follow us on Facebook at Christ Church Denton. Christ Church Denton is in partnership with His Hope Haven, the local homeless shelter. Their Resource Center is usually open on our lower level Monday through Thursday 9:30 am - 5:15 pm.

His Hope Haven accepts single men and women, as well as family groups, as guests. The shelter opens at 5:30 PM and guests are provided with dinner, breakfast the next morning, and a packed lunch. Shower facilities are available. Guests leave at 9 AM each morning. Guests without transportation are driven into Denton, and picked up there later. The drop off and pickup area is in the parking lot of the court house across from the Episcopal Church on Gay Street.

The Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program (HVRP) at St James AME Zion Church was established by the Department of Labor to help homeless veterans get back on their feet by:
-Individualized support based on specific needs
-Employment support services such as job related equipment, clothing, transportation, and other services for independence
-Training and remedial education, job preparation services, trade certification, and licensing assistance
-Referral for other services or treatments
