All library locations are closed through March 28, in cooperation with the county’s effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Our current plan is to reopen on Monday, March 30.
All Library events and meetings are cancelled while we are closed.
Please keep your library materials, including hotpot devices, until after we reopen.
Library meeting rooms will not be available during this period. All scheduled meetings and appointments will be rescheduled when we reopen.
Provides support to children, youth, and veterans through a variety of programs. Gives book scholarships to three high school students each year. Supports local charitable organizations, including the American Legion. Sponsors local high school juniors to attend the Girls State conference each year. Provides catering for American Legion Post Home #29. New officers installed in August. Meets 1st Thursday of the month, 7PM.
Offers a variety of programs and classes to students, targeted populations, and the public in general. Partners with Social Services, the Workforce Investment Board, and the Department of Corrections to train people to be successfully employed in the hospitality industry. Also partners with the Board of Education and Parks and Recreation to provide skills and training to students, some of whom are identified as being "at risk." This includes instruction at the Caroline Career and Technology Center, and after school and summer programs. Winner of Wedding Caterer of the Year 2010 for KNOT magazine. The culinary center resides in the original high school for Caroline County built in 1901. The school house has been re purposed to be a culinary hub for the Mid Shore Region. Within this building you can find the Caroline Career and Technology Center's culinary arts program, Commercial Community Kitchen, Catering, shore gourmet market, classes and much more.
Turnbridge Point is a waterfront bed and breakfast in the heart of downtown Denton on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Our newly renovated Victorian-era home offers a relaxing escape for our guests. There is plenty of room for privacy with beautifully appointed rooms and a large backyard that leads down to the Choptank River.
Turnbridge Point is also an ideal venue for weddings and private parties. Our indoor and outdoor spaces are perfectly suited for intimate gatherings. Chef Steve’s catering menu always incorporates fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Dinner every other Friday or Saturday at 5:00 (call to confirm). Public hall/meeting room available. Seats 250. Special features: air conditioning, podium, p/a system, kitchen and bar facility. Catering available through Ladies Auxiliary. Alcoholic beverages must be purchased through VFW. Ample parking around building. Handicapped-accessible. To reserve call post home. Awards two scholarships each year for graduating seniors that are going to attend Chesapeake College. Supports many local organizations through the proceeds of the slot machines.
