To maintain a community band of youth and adult volunteers who provide a pleasurable musical and cultural experience through concerts for community functions in Queen Anne’s County Maryland and the surrounding Chesapeake Bay Region all the while providing a forum for band participants to continue to expand their musical training and knowledge. Our continuing goal is to grow in musical performance, experience and membership thereby enhancing the quality and ambiance of performances.

The Chesapeake Bay Community Band was formed in 1994 as the Kent Island Volunteer Marching Band and incorporated as a 501c3 Non Profit Organization. The group performs public concerts and provides musical support for community functions in Queens Anne’s County Maryland and the surrounding Chesapeake Bay Region. The band’s repertoire includes marches, classic concert band literature and Broadway favorites. The Chesapeake Bay Community Band is opened to anyone who plays a concert band instrument and has the desire to perform in a community band.
