To promote mental health, understand mental illness, improve the care and treatment of individuals through programs of prevention, advocacy, public education, and community service. MHAES empowers and encourages individuals and families in the Mid-Shore region to recognize and manage the mental health issues in their lives, provides a program of public education focused on prevention, detection, and management of the barriers to human growth and development and supports efforts for early diagnosis and intervention in our community.

Service

Promotes mental wellness and behavioral health with education and advocacy. No direct services are provided. Our flagship program is Mental Health First Aid, this is an 8 hour training course that teaches the signs and symptoms of a mental illness and how to offer help to someone prior to professional treatment.
