The Ridgely Lions serve the Ridgely community in many ways to include, but not limited to: assistance with eye exams and eyeglasses for those in need (applications are available upon request); the Ridgely Strawberry Festival; the Christmas Parade (the first Saturday in December); placement of decorative/seasonal banners throughout town; sponsorship of youth baseball, football and soccer teams; durable medical equipment loan closet;  monetary and volunteer support of the Ridgely UMC food bank and scholarships to Ridgely area college-bound students. As part of Lions Clubs International we make yearly donations to the Lions Multiple District-22 Low Vision Research Center (The Wilmer Eye Clinic at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD), the Lions Leader Dog Program and the Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF).
