Maryland Legal Aid is committed to protecting and advancing the rights of older adults. Maryland Legal Aid serves people over age 60 in all areas of legal practice. We provide a range of services from advice to full representation at hearings. In many counties, these services have special funding through the local Area Agencies on Aging and the Older Americans Act. The Maryland Food Bank – Eastern Shore Branch distributes food to eight counties: Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico, and Worcester.In December 1980, the Maryland Food Bank opened a branch in Salisbury in order to better serve the rural populations of the Eastern Shore.
