Founded in 1983 as St. Martin’s Barn by the Benedictine Sisters of Ridgely, MD, Martin’s House & Barn provides a safety net for individuals and families needing special support during difficult times in their lives. They not only provide essential shelter, food, and clothing to those in need but also help clients find resources to overcome barriers to self-sufficiency. They offer a family shelter, an emergency food pantry, a thrift shop, and homelessness prevention services.

Martin’s Barn operates every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30-11:30am, and every Wednesday from 6pm-7:30pm. The food pantry is currently operating as a drive through process due to COVID. Proof of address and income are generally required, but rules may be relaxed due to COVID.
